The Human Rights Campaign and the Courage Campaign this week launched a new Web site, NOMexposed.com, which provides details of some of the backers of the National Organization for Marriage.

In reaction to the National Organization for Marriage using their recording of "This Land Is Your Land" on its so-called "Summer for Marriage Tour", the remaining members of Peter, Paul & Mary sent a letter of protest to NOM: "...the philosophy of the National Organization for Marriage is directly contrary to the advocacy position Peter, Paul & Mary have held for decades."

NOM is conducting a bus tour through the eastern states. Attendance has been sad and pathetic, but they’ve been perfecting their message: We’re just a sweet, kindly group of traditional people, and those hateful, intolerant gays are attacking us. It’s canny public relations.

Our friends at Georgia Equality have put together an incredible video series telling the stories of real families in Atlanta who have been harmed by marriage discrimination. Many of the folks featured in these videos are well known members of the community who have devoted their lives to making Atlanta a better place. Sunday was a stormy day across Florida, blinding rain and slippery roads - a perfect day to stay home. But we didn't. Nor did the nearly 200 folks who came out to the "Celebrate Our Families" events in Tampa and Orlando.

Freedom to Marry's Summer for Marriage Tour wraps up next week with events in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. The tour, which was originally organized in response to the National Organization for Marriage's anti-gay “One Man, One Woman” bus tour, has highlighted widespread support for the freedom to marry with supporters of equality outnumbering NOM’s supporters on all 16 stops thus far
